If your child is between 2 to 4 years of age, they are in a 2:1 ratio (2 children to 1 instructor).  If your child is 5 or older, they are in a 3:1 ratio.  If your child is in level 3 or higher, they are in a 3:1 ratio, ragardless of age.

We recommend that your child have head control before starting a parent and tot class, usually at 3 to 6 months.  At 2 years old a child may start the preschool program without a parent, in a 2:1 ratio.

All daytime classes are 30 minutes (excluding summer).  All weekend and evening classes are 45 minutes.

All our pools are kept at 86-88 degrees and yes, they are all salt water

Yes, we will do our best to ensure that all family members are enrolled in swim classes at the same time.

Yes, we will do our best to accomodate instructor requests.  However, if that instructor is not available, Swim Time will choose an instructor with similar teaching style to the instructor that you requested.

We accept cheques, debit, Visa and Mastercard.

There are NO refunds.

Cancellation prior to the start of the session will result in the loss of your deposit.  However once the session begins and full payment has been made, a credit will only be given for medical reasons, which must be supported by written cancellation and a Doctor's note.  A $50 administration fee, plus the cost of classes used up to the date of written notification, will be deducted from the credit issued.

Yes, we offer one of the following discounts for every family:

      -  If you are registering two children, there is a $10 discount for the second child

      -  If you are registering three or more children, we offer 10% off the total cost

Yes, you can always change to a different day or time if there is space available.  A $15 change fee will apply per child.

Yes, we have designated days for make-up classes and Swim Time allows on make-up class per child per session.  We do not need to be notified beforehand.  Once a class has been missed, you can call and we'll help you schedule a make-up class.

Occassionally, Swim Time may have to close for reasons such as weather, pool fouling or mechanical issues.  We will do our best to notify all customers as soon as posssible.  A make-up class will be issued to all students for the current season.

We have three separate changerooms in both our Woodbridge and Thornhill locations:  one for girls, one for boys and a changeroom for families.

Our Pickering location has one family changeroom with individual change stalls and cubiciles.

If your child is 12 years or older, they can start the Bronze program.  However, if your child has completed Swim Kids 10 and is not yet 12 years of age.  the Swim Patrol is a great swim program which prepares them for the Bronze class.  For more information on these courses, please visit the Leadership Programs page.

Swim Time offers lower ratios, warmer water, and the Red Cross Swim Kids program.  Swim Time feels each student is an individual and we will work with each one to achieve their goals.
